Elbow Valley West

Elbow Valley West is located on the western edge in the scenic Springbank area. Since it’s inception in 1997, Elbow Valley has become Calgary’s and Canada’s premier new home community. In February 2004, Elbow Valley became the first recipient of the Best Community in Canada Award from the Canadian Home Builder’s Association. In 2003, the individuals responsible for the creation of  Elbow Valley - Rob & Ruth Peters and Jim Dewald - entered into a partnership agreement with Landstar Development Corporation to co-develop the final 123 acres of the original  Elbow Valley lands. Elbow Valley West remains true to the  impeccable design and planning principles of the previous development, while offering lot sizes considerably larger on average than those available in Elbow Valley.

The Elbow Valley West lands offer the best of both worlds; unmatched quality in a picturesque rural environment  combined with twent y minute access to Calgar y’s downtown business core. Built from a magnificent vision – it is a community of unique, attractive homes nestled among  beautiful, natural landscape. Housing styles blend with  nature – stone and natural exteriors and color schemes  enhanced with intriguing landscaping, roads and pathways. The final phase was released in May 5, 2007 creating a buyer frenzy that garnered both local and national media attention. 


West Springs Farm

West Springs Farm is a 52 acre ‘move-up’ residential  community located on the western side of Calgary. Attention to detail was one of the key reasons for the success of West Springs Farm, and city standards were exceeded in every respect. Strict architectural guidelines patterned after the farming and ranching heritage of the area, period architectural styled street lighting, heavily landscaped community boulevards, sidewalks on both sides of the streetpaved and landscaped rear lanes, and a thoughtful mix of front attached and rear detached garage configurations give the community a feeling unlike any other in this market segment.

Following the success of West Springs Farm, Landstar attracted the attention of the creators of Canada’s premier luxury home community and became their joint venture partner on the development of the final phases of the Elbow Valley Lands.


The Village at West Springs

The Village At West Springs is located in the East Springbank area of west Calgary, in the community of West Springs Farm. Designed with a striking mix of architectural styles, the  Village at West Springs is a distinctive townhome community that offers the benefits of a new home with the charm and appeal of an established neighbourhood. The 92-unit townhome village is situated around an impec-cably landscaped central park. An online research program  that polled the entire 250 household West Springs Farm community provided strong direction and support for  the project in its new form – the Village at West Springs. 

The Village at West Springs is centered around a dramatic natural enclave with numerous trees and decorative planting with tranquil streams that wind their way through the park and feed a central waterfall. The Village is designed to have the look and feel of a single family neighbourhood with the benefits of a maintenance free lifestyle. The Portico

The Portico is a two building mid-rise condominium project, in one of Calgary’s most desirable inner-city neighbourhoods. Nestled atop an escarpment overlooking the scenic beauty of Bridgeland, the sloped elevation of Portico offers optimal views of the downtown skyline, while the fully landscaped courtyard featuring pathways and a dramatic waterfall  feature blends in gracefully with the quaint beauty of  the neighbourhood.

The concept of the Portico was to deliver high-end  specifications at a mid-market prices, a goal that was achieved through careful sizing of units and volume purchase of selected luxury appointments such as top-line kitchen appliances.

Once the pre-sale program for the Portico was launched, 45% of the units sold within the first two months.
